Feds announce there will be no mail delivery Wednesday

Before residents get too concerned about a delay in receiving anticipated items in the mail--such as their editions of the Observer/Adovcate--it should be noted that there will be no mail on Wednesday.

Federal officials have announced that there will be no mail delivery on Wednesday as the United States Postal Service observes a national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush. Post office retail and services will be closed.

THROUGH THE YEARS, there have been countless discussions about the Highway 60 route. This Oct. 6, 1988 photo shows the new alignment of Highway 60. The highway now curves around south of Mt. Lake as seen in this aerial photo, courtesy of Arnold Friesen, Gerald Fox flight service. Heritage Village is just to the right and the south intersection with County Road 1.
