MnDOT proposed a possible solution for reducing the number of accidents resulting in serious and fatal injuries at the three intersections accessing Mt. Lake off of Highway 60.
As proposed, the solution would require the construction of three J-Turn intersections at no cost to the city or county. According to MnDOT, this would result in a 100% reduction in serious and fatal injuries.
A meeting to discuss options was held recently at Mt. Lake City Hall. The major concern with this proposal was ag equipment crossings.
