STUDENTS AT MT. Lake Public High School “danced” into a new school year by lending others a helping hand. The Mt. Lake Public High School Student Council sponsored a 2010-2011 school year kick-off dance on Thursday, August 19, in the school cafeteria. The requirement was that attendees had to bring three items for the Loaves and Fishes Food Shelf in Mt. Lake, or $3, which was converted into more staples to add to the pantry shelves. Heritage Village readying the area’s history to come to life A walk down memory lane at Heritage Village, turning the clock back in time to a Mt. Lake of the past, is in store for those who attend the annual Utschtallung, or Heritage Fair, Saturday, September 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village on the southeast corner of the city along Highway 60. Kennel-Aire to close Chester Beavers, vice-president and chief operating officer of Kennel-Aire LLC of Mt. Lake, announced late last week that the company would be winding down operations at the local plant, with closure expected around November 15. Kennel-Aire currently has nine employees MLPS staff participated in Flexible Learning Year workshop Over 150 educators and administrators from all 25 school districts, who are part of the Flexible Learning Year Initiative, including Mt.
