At any time, day or night, Dean Willaby’s pager could go off and within minutes he will be headed toward a possible emergency. But responding to a pager call is about making a difference in someone’s life — whether helping takes a short time or hours. For close to 19 years, Willaby has learned new skills, completed hours of training, attends monthly meetings and has become part of the team that makes up the Mt. Lake Fire Department.
